Putting on the Belt of Truth

Main Passage Eph. 6:12-14 and various others.

Into the Text

1. You cannot strengthen yourself (Eph 6:10)
   1. Literally, “be strengthened” by your connection to the Lord
2.  Stand by strapping on Truth (Eph 6:12-14)
   1. “Truth” (alatheia) – that which corresponds to reality
      1. knowing truth
      2. Gaining in truth
   2. This strapping is in the middle voice

Application:

Are you telling yourself the truth?

• The Gospel Truth
• Be honest with yourself
• Conforming to that which is real (we should be very cautious about conspiracy theories)
