Take up the Shield of Faith

Main Passage Eph. 6:12-16 and various others

Key Point:

Paul connects personal protection with personal faith.

1. Take up the shield of faith (Eph. 6:12-16, and Heb. 4:14-16)
   1. The shield is our unshakeable confidence in God and our new identity in Christ
   2. This is because this faith is beyond our circumstances.
2. Paul expresses what expressing this faith looks like in an early part of this letter (Eph 3:14-19)
   1. I can submit fully to Christ publicly because He is working mightily in me privately.
3. This shield can thwart the attacks of the evil one
   1. The evil one has many proxies.
