A Pastoral Word on This Election 

Passages: (1 Peter 1:1, John 1:14, 13:34, 35, 15:12, 13, 17, Matt 22:37-39 1 John 3:18. 4:7, Psalm 46, 1 Tim. 2:1-8)

Consider:

Biblical Theology must lead political ideology. The ballot box must be ruled by the Bible. But if we inverse these two, then we will be tempted to disobey or disregard Jesus’ commands for a political victory. And this is not the way of Jesus.

Four Action Steps for Believers

1. We must protect life at all stages.

1. We must be more than pro-life. We must be pro-eternal life.

1. We must love our neighbor.

1. We must not operate out of fear.

Together we are commanded to pray for our leaders (1 Tim. 2:1-8). Today, we will provide an opportunity to follow this command.
