My Salvation experience is I was raised in a Christian home, but my parents were not regular attenders at the local Baptist church. I accepted the Lord as my Savior as a teenager during a revival, and my parents began coming to church regularly and getting actively involved.
I am an only child raised in a small town. My dad was a plumber, and my mother was a speech teacher. Both have passed. I married my high school sweetheart, and we have two adult children – one of which is married and has given us a wonderful grandson.
When my wife and I moved to St. Louis, we were looking for a Baptist church, We visited Concord, and joined after the first visit in the fall of 1980.
I am a servant at heart – I don’t have the gift of teaching or public speaking, but I enjoy visiting the sick and elderly.
My favorite verse is John 3:16 because it tells of God’s love for everyone, even me.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
One strength I bring to the Deacons Team is I am a helper and willing to do anything for Christ.
