Rusty Wirt
Pastor Rusty serves as our Senior Pastor. In this role Pastor Rusty is our lead communicator in our Sunday services. Additionally, he provides oversight and leadership to all of Concord’s Senior Staff. He is responsible for casting the church-wide vision for our ministries in conjunction with the Leadership Team.
Rusty is a Veteran of the United States Army, Infantry. Also he has earned a Bachelors (B.S., Dallas Baptist University) and two Masters (ThM, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and MDiv, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary). Before coming to Concord in 2015, Rusty was trained through the North American Mission Board to be a church planter in Western KY. There he planted and served as a senior pastor of Community Fellowship for over 14 years.
Rusty is married to Sherri, his beloved wife of over 26 years. Together they have two children (Samuel and Star) and love living here in the South County region. Sherri serves as our Missions coordinator as well as teaching children about missions and serving on our worship team.
Rusty enjoys hanging with his family, studying theology, drinking coffee and has developed a passion for long distance running.
